In our early years as a Plc we need a world class People Partner who can execute the People strategy, focusing on engaging, developing and retaining our top talent and enabling people to excel.

We have circa 170 employees in the UK and your role will provide support across all teams providing you with immense exposure to our business and an incredible opportunity to learn. You will report into the Global Head of People (Interim) and will manage our Office Environment and Events role, and co-manage our Global People Coordinator with your US counterpart.
 

The Job:

 
This role is a true generalist HR role with multiple responsibilities that will flex to the business need. Alongside running the operation side of things, you will carve out time to deliver important People related projects. More specifically, you will:
 

  • Drive business performance through effective advice and support, ensuring operational excellence across the People function: including benefits, payroll, and data/metrics
  • Be the project owner for key People initiatives, such as our benefits review and engagement survey
  • Contribute strategic insight, implementing engagement and team building activities
  • Deliver our objective setting, performance and pay review process, supporting Managers to have meaningful conversations to change behaviour and empower our teams to be their best
  • Oversee all generalist and employee relation matters including absence, disciplinary and performance, maternities, flexible working,
  • Partnering with the Solutions team to create incredible content to upskill our managers on day-to-day management essentials and deliver in an engaging Mind Gym style
  • Own regular People analytics, extracting insight to share with Leadership and to continually improve our People practices
  • Stay up to date with the employment law landscape, assess risk and keep our employees and business compliant
  • Line management of the Global People Coordinator, supporting their growth and development
  • Support our Office Environment and Events Coordinator to deliver a vibrant office environment that brings people together and supports their wellbeing
  • Partner with your US counterpart to ensure continuity and consistency across global People initiatives where appropriate

 

About you:

 
We’re looking for someone truly exceptional who can help our team to meet the demands of an ambitious business, who wants to make an impact and who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. No small order.
 
More specifically, you’ll be a blend of the following skills and attributes:
 

  • Experienced HR Business/People Partner within in a fast-paced environment, ideally a high growth, small to medium sized business. If you have some Tech experience even better.
  • Passion for People Science and an ability to integrate it with ease into your advice and approach
  • Proven track record of delivering People related projects from end to end and managing multiple projects or pieces of work simultaneously
  • Demonstrable experience of using and implementing HR technology e.g. a HRIS or CRM system
  • Exceptional communication skills, you’re able to create deep, trusting partnerships with leaders, managers and employees and explain complexity in simple ways that are understood
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced excel knowledge (i.e. pivot tables, etc.). You’re able to extract meaningful insight from data and convey it with clarity
  • Acute attention-to-detail, you deliver a quality finish in all tasks and interactions without exception
  • High energy and spirit, nothing phases you. With your can-do attitude, you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves as needed to help the team deliver
  • Natural facilitator, you’re engaging and talk with gravitas and credibility, so others listen
  • Exceptional organisational skills. You spot what needs to be done and take initiative to plan it out in advance, taking people and processes with you
  • Managerial experience, you’ve already feet managing an entry level role in a People or Office Team and understand what it takes to help others
  • Extraordinary collaboration skills, you easily partner with others across teams and regions to
  • Strong academics to degree level, ideally in HR, Human Sciences or Business
