MindGym’s Trevor Phillips receives a knighthood

05 January 2022

Congratulations to our Independent Non-Executive Director Sir Trevor Phillips, who received a knighthood for his services to equality and human rights in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.

The award recognises his career-long service to tackling inequality, including his work highlighting the impact of coronavirus on black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the UK.

Sir Trevor joined the MindGym board in 2020 and has been an advocate for companies to use behavioural science to address Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) within their organisation.

Through this work he wrote the foreword for our Inclusion Solution whitepaper, where he advised business leaders to adopt a scientific mindset to successfully develop and maintain diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces.

MindGym CEO Octavius Black said:

"Trevor’s relentless, lifelong passion to drive change in diversity, equity and inclusion, particularly for black, Asian and ethnic minority communities, is remarkable.

When combined with his vast knowledge and expertise, moulded from his glittering career in the media, politics and business, his impact on the, at times polarising, debate about inequality has been exceptional. This award could not be more fitting.

We are delighted that Trevor is a NED at MindGym where he is a focal part of our mission to accelerate inclusion in companies across the world by using proven scientific techniques.”

Thank you Sir Trevor and many congratulations!
