Managing bad news is not easy, but we can learn to minimise the pain, so that all parties emerge wiser, stronger and able to move on. 

Participants will:
  • See how we naturally respond to difficult conversations and how we can make some adjustments that have an immediate impact
  • Understand how to distinguish between story and emotions and identity and how to make sure that each is addressed
  • Consider how to prepare themselves mentally for sharing bad news
  • Practise techniques to share bad news as painlessly as possible
  • Develop a range of possible responses for highly emotional reactions
